It's an Eaton B-Line KwikWire hanging assembly: a length of wire rope with a bolt-style M10 thread termination on the end. The M10 bolt end threads into an M10-tapped fitting or accessory on the load you are suspending, and the wire runs up to the structural anchor point. Because it is a bolt (male M10 thread), the receiving side has to be a female M10 hole. It comes as an assembly, so there is no sawing, filing, or fixing nuts to do on site.

No. The termination is a metric M10 male thread, and M10 will not correctly engage an imperial 3/8 inch tapped hole. If the fixture, tray, or strut fitting you are hanging is tapped 3/8-16, order the KwikWire version with a 3/8 inch termination instead of this M10 bolt version.

It is cULus Listed, so it carries both the US and Canadian listing marks, which is what most inspectors and institutional specs want to see on a suspension component for lighting, cable tray, or duct. Nothing else is claimed on ratings beyond that listing.

That's the point of the KwikWire system. It is intended to install without drilling into the existing structure, so you attach at an existing structural point and let the wire carry the drop. For retrofit work in an occupied building, that avoids coring or anchoring into deck and slab.

It ships as a complete assembly, wire plus the M10 bolt termination, so there is no separate fabrication step on site.
