Plan for a 24 inch inside radius on the turn, and the fitting itself measures 39.0625 inches on its length dimension. That is the space to leave between the ends of the two straight runs when you are marking out the ceiling or cable rack. If your building steel or wall does not give you a 24 inch radius sweep, you need a tighter radius bend instead, not this one.

Cable bend radius. A 24 inch radius horizontal bend sweeps the turn wide so large power or fiber cables are not forced past their minimum bend radius, which is what a short radius fitting risks on heavy conductors. If the run carries only small control or instrumentation cable and space is tight, a smaller radius fitting does the job. For big feeders and fiber, the 24 inch sweep is the one to specify.

Aluminum. Splice plates, hardware, and any supports for the turn are separate line items, so add them to the order along with the straight sections. A bend generally needs support close to each end rather than relying on the adjacent straight runs to carry it.
