A vertical outside bend carries the tray run over an obstruction or up a change in elevation, with the tray bending away from the cables (the cables ride on the outside of the curve). Eaton B-Line part 6A-18-30VO12 is a 30 degree vertical outside bend with a 12 inch radius, so it takes the run up 30 degrees from horizontal. If you need the run to drop or bend toward the cable side instead, that is a vertical inside bend, a different fitting.

It is built for an 18 inch tray width with a 6 inch side rail height, in aluminum, in the Eaton B-Line Series 2 through 5 imperial line. If your straight sections are that same width, rail height and series, the fitting lines up. Aluminum tray and steel tray fittings are not interchangeable for a matched run, so confirm your straights are aluminum before ordering.

Allow about 11.598 inches of length along the run for the fitting itself, measured on the 12 inch radius. That is the dimension to deduct when you cut your straight sections on either side of the elevation change.

The 6A-18-30VO12 vertical outside bend is UL Classified. That is the rating carried on the fitting itself; no other listing is claimed for it.

Order the splice plates and connection hardware separately. The 5.5 lb listed for 6A-18-30VO12 is the bend by itself; the fitting still needs the correct series splice connectors at each end to join it to your straight sections, and support hangers sized for an 18 inch tray.

It sets the minimum the cable will see through the fitting. The bend is formed on a 12 inch radius, so any conductor routed through it is curved to at least that. Check that figure against the manufacturer minimum bending radius for the largest cable in the tray before committing to this fitting.
