A vertical inside bend carries the tray run up or down where the cables sit on the inside of the turn, for example where a run drops from a ceiling level and the change of direction closes in toward the cable side. Eaton B-Line model 6A-30-30VI24 is the Series 2-5 vertical inside bend at a 30 degree angle with a 24 inch radius. If your direction change opens away from the cable bed instead, you need the vertical outside fitting, not this one. Inside and outside are not interchangeable in the field.

Allow 20.692 inches of run length for the fitting itself, measured along the depth of the piece, plus whatever the 24 inch radius sweep needs in the vertical plane. That 20.692 inch figure is what you deduct from your straight section takeoff when you lay out the run on the drawing.

The radius sets how tight the conductors are forced to turn. This fitting sweeps on a 24 inch radius, which is the larger of the common tray radii and gives large power and control cable room to make the vertical transition without exceeding its minimum bending radius. If your cable schedule calls for a generous bend, a 24 inch radius fitting is the one to specify rather than a short radius elbow.

Order the splice plates and bolt kits separately. The 6A-30-30VI24 is the bend fitting itself. Each joint between the fitting and the adjoining straight sections needs a matching pair of splice plates sized for the 6 inch rail, so count two joints per bend when you build the takeoff.

At 6.8 lb the fitting is a one-man lift even at 30 inches wide. The awkward part is the size, not the weight, so a second set of hands helps to hold it in line while the splice plates are bolted, but it is not a rigging job.

It carries the CE marking. That is the marking stated for the 6A-30-30VI24 vertical inside bend, which matters if the project specification or the export documentation calls for CE marked tray components.
