It steps a 36 inch wide aluminum ladder tray down to a 6 inch wide tray, with the reduction taken on the right side so the left side rail stays in a straight line. That keeps one edge of the run continuous, which matters when the tray is hung tight to a wall or beam and you cannot shift the centerline. Overall it runs 25.38 inches in length with a 6 inch side rail height.

Stand facing the direction the cable pulls and look at which rail has to stay straight. The 6A-36-RR06 is a right reducer, so the taper is on the right and the left rail continues in line. If the obstruction or wall is on the other side of your run, you want the left-hand version instead. There is also a straight reducer that narrows symmetrically off the centerline, which is what you use in the middle of an open ceiling with clearance on both sides.

Aluminum. That is the usual pick for outdoor, washdown, coastal, and chemically aggressive spaces where galvanized steel would eventually rust at cut edges, and it keeps the weight down for overhead work. Aluminum tray also has to be treated as non-ferrous when you size and bond your equipment grounding conductor, since the tray itself is often used as an EGC in steel systems.

The 6A-36-RR06 is supplied as the reducer fitting itself. Splice plates, connector hardware, and the support hanger or trapeze at the transition are ordered separately, and you should plan a support near the reducer because tray fittings are generally not intended to carry unsupported span like a straight section does.

Order Eaton B-Line 6A-36-RR06. That number encodes the 6 inch rail height, aluminum, 36 inch nominal width, and the right reducer to 6 inches. Anything with a different suffix will be a different width transition or the opposite hand.

8.9 lb. Light enough for one electrician on a lift to set and bolt off without a second pair of hands, which is a real advantage over a steel fitting of the same 36 inch width.

It carries CE marking. If your facility spec calls out other marks or listings for the tray system, those need to be confirmed against the full system submittal rather than the fitting alone.
