That 24 inch radius is what keeps the bend gentle enough for large conductors, and it is also the number to check against walls, columns, and adjacent racks before you commit the hanger locations.

Aluminum. That matters for two reasons on a commercial job: it is light enough that a single fitting of this size comes in at 13.5 pounds, and it holds up in damp or corrosive areas where painted steel tray would need coating maintenance. Mixing aluminum fittings into a galvanized steel tray run is not good practice, so match the material through the whole system.

It is CSA certified, which is what an inspector on a Canadian project will be looking for on the tray system. Useful for institutional and industrial specs that call out CSA on the raceway.
