A vertical inside bend changes the elevation of a tray run where the fitting turns toward the inside of the tray (rungs on the inside of the curve), which is what you use when the run climbs or drops and the cables ride on the concave side. The Eaton B-Line 6A-06-90VI48 is a Series 2-5 vertical inside bend, aluminum, 90 degrees, on a 48 inch radius. If the elevation change turns the other way, with the cables running over the convex side, you need the matching vertical outside bend instead, not this part.

Radius is driven by the cable, not the tray. Large power and fiber cables carry a minimum bending radius, and the tray fitting has to be at least as generous or the cable gets damaged at the elevation change. The 48 inch radius on this Eaton B-Line vertical inside bend is the largest common step and is specified for heavy MV power and large fiber bundles. If your cable schedule allows a tighter bend, a smaller radius fitting saves both run length and weight.

It is CSA certified, which is the listing a Canadian inspector looks for on cable tray under the Canadian Electrical Code. That is the only certification carried on the 6A-06-90VI48 record, so if your specification calls for something else, verify against the spec before releasing the order.

The 6A-06-90VI48 is the bend fitting itself. Splice plates, bolts and the supports at each end are ordered separately, and they need to be the Series 2-5 splice hardware so the bolt pattern lines up with the tray side rail. Plan on two splice connections, one at each end of the fitting.

The fitting itself is 19.8 lb before any cable. On a 48 inch radius 90 degree vertical bend spanning 57.188 inches, that dead weight plus the cable fill is what your trapeze or wall bracket at each end of the bend has to carry. Support points go on the straight sections adjacent to the fitting, not on the curve itself.
