The Eaton B-Line 6A-36-06-HX24 is built for a 36 inch wide main run with 6 inch wide branch runs, so the four legs are not all the same width. If every leg of your intersection is 36 inches, this is the wrong fitting for that opening.

Plan for a 90 inch overall run dimension and 36 inch width, with 24 inch radius bends at the corners. The 24 inch radius is the generous option, chosen to keep large diameter or minimum-bend-radius cable inside its allowable bend as it turns out of the main run. Tight ceiling spaces often can't take it, so confirm the clear dimensions above and around the intersection before ordering.

Aluminum. That is the usual choice where weight matters on the support spacing and where mild corrosion exposure rules out plain painted steel. It also keeps the fitting light: the cross weighs 37.84 lb, which two people can set on trapeze hangers without a lift.
