B-LINE 3024P – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What enclosures does the B-Line 3024P back panel fit?
The 3024P is an RHC flat panel, made to mount inside Eaton B-Line RHC enclosures. It is not a universal panel; if your box is another B-Line family or another brand's cabinet, the mounting stud pattern won't line up, so match the panel to an RHC-series enclosure.
2) What size is the B-Line 3024P panel, and what size enclosure is it sized for?
It measures 24 in by 22 in, with a 24 in dimension also given for height. Those numbers are the panel itself, which sits inside the box, so the enclosure it goes in will be larger than the panel. Confirm your RHC enclosure is the 30 x 24 size this panel is built around before ordering.
3) Can the 3024P panel be used in an outdoor enclosure?
The 3024P is specified for Type 1 and Type 3R applications, so it can go into a 3R rain-tight enclosure as well as an indoor Type 1 box. The rating protection comes from the enclosure, not the panel, so the box itself has to be the 3R unit.
4) Do I need a back panel if my enclosure already came as a box and door?
Yes, on most B-Line RHC enclosures the back panel is ordered separately. The 3024P is that piece, the flat steel subpanel your breakers, terminal blocks, relays or drives actually mount to. Without it you have nothing to drill and tap into inside the box.
5) Is the 3024P steel or aluminum, and how is it finished?
Steel, with a white powder coat. The white finish is the usual choice for a back panel because it reflects light inside the box and makes wire marking and component labels easier to read during service.
6) How heavy is the 3024P panel for a one-man install?
About 17.28 lb. That is a one-person lift, but on a wall-mounted enclosure it is worth starting the lower mounting nuts first and letting the panel rest on them while you land the top.
