B-LINE 26URMA – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the B-Line 26URMA rack mounting angle used for?
The 26URMA is a pair of rack mounting angles for Eaton B-Line Premier series Type 4 panel enclosures. The angles bolt inside the enclosure and give you the standard rack rail surface to hang rack mount equipment from, so the enclosure can carry panel or network gear instead of just wall mount components. It is zinc plated steel and it is UL Listed.
2) How tall an enclosure do I need for the 26URMA mounting angles?
Size the enclosure to the angle length: the 26URMA measures 48 x 48 x 1.25 inches, so it is built for a 48 inch tall Premier series Type 4 enclosure interior. On a shorter box the angle will not fit, and on a taller one you will leave unused rack space above or below.
3) Will the 26URMA fit a Type 4 enclosure and keep the watertight rating?
Yes. The 26URMA is catalogued for Eaton B-Line Premier series Type 4 panel enclosures, and rack mounting angles bolt to the existing interior mounting provisions, so nothing is drilled through the enclosure shell. Because no new penetrations are made, the Type 4 enclosure keeps its rating.
4) Is the 26URMA a painted or plated finish, and will it hold up in a washdown or outdoor cabinet?
Zinc plated steel, not painted. That plating is what makes it suitable for the damp and washdown environments a Type 4 enclosure is normally specified for. If your site requires stainless interior hardware for corrosive chemical exposure, zinc plated angles are not a substitute.
5) Is the B-Line 26URMA UL Listed for use in an electrical panel enclosure?
UL Listed, which matters for institutional and inspected installations where every component inside the enclosure has to be a listed part. Department classification is electrical.
6) What is the exact part number to order these B-Line rack angles?
Order Eaton B-Line 26URMA. That is the manufacturer part number for the 48 inch zinc plated Premier series rack mounting angle.
