B-LINE B192GRN – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size is the B-Line B192GRN strut bracket and how much does it weigh?
The B192GRN is a steel strut bracket measuring 6 in height, 24 in length, and 1.62 in width, weighing 5.76 lb. The 1.62 in width is the standard strut channel profile width, so it sits flush against 1-5/8 in strut. At 24 in long it is meant to span or cantilever off a channel run rather than act as a short corner fitting.
2) How much load will the B-Line B192GRN bracket carry?
Uniform load capacity is 820 lbs for the B192GRN bracket. That is a uniformly distributed figure, not a point load at the end of the 24 in arm, so a concentrated load hung at the tip should be reduced accordingly by your engineer of record.
3) What holes and slots are in the B192GRN strut bracket?
It has 1 hole plus one slot measuring 3 in long by 9/16 in wide. The 9/16 in slot width takes 1/2 in strut hardware, and the 3 in slot gives you adjustment along that axis so the bracket can be shifted after it is loosely bolted to the channel.
4) Is the DURA GREEN finish on this B-Line bracket suitable for damp or corrosive areas?
DURA GREEN is Eaton B-Line's coated steel finish, used where plain electro-galvanized parts would be marginal, such as damp indoor mechanical rooms, wash-down areas and interior locations with chemical exposure. For direct outdoor or coastal exposure, specify a hot-dip galvanized or stainless fitting instead.
5) Does the B192GRN bracket come with the channel nuts and bolts to mount it?
No. The B192GRN is the bracket only. You order strut nuts, bolts and washers separately, sized to the 9/16 in slot, along with whatever anchors the wall or deck attachment calls for.
6) What is the exact part number for the 24 inch DURA GREEN B-Line strut bracket?
Order it as Eaton B-Line B192GRN. The GRN suffix denotes the DURA GREEN finish; the same bracket geometry is sold under other suffixes for other finishes, so the suffix is what you confirm when matching an existing run.
7) Can I use this B-Line bracket to support conduit or cable tray off a wall?
Yes, that is the typical use. It is an electrical-department strut fitting with a 24 in projection and 820 lbs uniform capacity, so it works as a wall-mounted arm for conduit racks, cable tray, or equipment hung from 1-5/8 in strut. Bolt the 1.62 in wide face to the channel through the hole and slot.
