1) Can the B-Line 303012-SDLG enclosure be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
The 303012-SDLG carries a NEMA 4 rating, so it is built to keep out windblown dust, rain, splashing water and hose-directed water. The seal comes from a seamless poured in-place gasket behind the hinged cover, and it is UL 50 listed. It is carbon steel with a painted finish, so in a corrosive or chemical washdown environment you would want a stainless or non-metallic type 4X box instead.
2) How do I mount this B-Line SDLG enclosure on a wall, and what do I need to support it?
It is a wall mount box with thru holes in the back, and optional external mounting feet if you would rather stand it off the wall surface. At 70.4 lb empty before any panel or components, plan on anchoring into studs, unistrut or masonry rather than drywall anchors. The mounting feet are ordered separately.
3) Does this enclosure come with knockouts for conduit?
No. The SDLG is supplied as a sealed box with no conduit knockouts, which is what lets it hold its NEMA 4 rating out of the carton. Any conduit entry gets punched in the field and has to be made up with watertight hubs or fittings rated for type 4 service, or the rating is void.
4) How does the door latch on the B-Line 303012-SDLG, and can it be padlocked?
The door is hinged and secured with 1/4 turn latches, so a tech opens it by hand or with a screwdriver blade rather than loose cover screws. That is the practical difference from a screw-cover box: for a panel you service regularly, the hinged 1/4 turn arrangement saves real time on every visit.

14 gauge carbon steel on both the body and the door, finished in RAL 7035 light grey paint. That is the usual weight for a medium single door industrial control enclosure and it is why the empty box runs 70.4 lb.

It should. RAL 7035 light grey is the standard paint color for industrial control enclosures across the Eaton B-Line line, so the 303012-SDLG will read the same as existing grey panels. If your facility was standardized on a custom color, this one ships painted RAL 7035 only.
