The kit itself measures 24.5 in height, 24.5 in length/depth and 20.5 in width, so the enclosure door has to have enough flat face area beyond that 24-1/2 x 20-1/2 in footprint for the kit to land on. Cut size on the door must match the kit's 24 x 20 in window.

Yes. The HWK2420 is rated NEMA 12, so it is built to maintain a dust-tight, drip-tight enclosure when installed on a NEMA 12 rated enclosure. It is also UL Listed. Installing it on an enclosure with a higher rating (washdown or outdoor types) does not carry that higher rating over.
