1) What size is the Eaton B-Line 8812 G wireway and how much wire can it hold?
It's an 8 x 8 inch cross section, 12 inches long. That square 8 by 8 interior is the number that matters for fill: cross-sectional area drives how many conductors you can run through, and an 8 x 8 trough gives you 64 square inches of gross area before derating for the 20 percent fill limit wireway is normally sized to. The 12 inch length makes it a short jumper or pull section rather than a run.
2) Is the 8812 G wireway rated for outdoor or wet locations?
No. The 8812 G is a NEMA 1 enclosure, which is indoor, general purpose only, protecting against incidental contact and falling dirt. It is not sealed against dripping water, washdown, or weather. For an outdoor run or a wet/damp area you need a NEMA 3R raintight wireway instead, which uses a hinged or gasketed cover and drip-shielded seams.
3) How does the cover come off on the B-Line 8812 G wireway?
It's a screw cover, held on with plated screws. You back the screws out to pull the full cover and lay in your conductors, then reinstall. That's fine for a trough you wire once and close up, but if you expect to open it repeatedly for changes, a hinged-cover wireway saves a lot of screw handling on a service call.

Mounting is through holes in the back of the trough, so you fasten it straight to a wall, strut, or plywood backboard with your own hardware. Anchors and screws are not part of the assembly, so pick fasteners for the substrate and for the loaded weight. The section itself is 6.766 lb empty, so most of the load will be conductors.
5) Is the Eaton B-Line 8812 G wireway approved for use in Canada?
