B-LINE 44-4XSBH – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size wireway does the B-Line 44-4XSBH hanger support?
The Eaton B-Line 44-4XSBH hanger is built for 4 inch by 4 inch wireway, which is what the 44 in the model number refers to. If your run is 6x6 or 8x8 trough, this bracket is the wrong size and you need the matching hanger for that cross section.
2) Is this wireway hanger suitable for outdoor or washdown areas?
Yes. The 44-4XSBH is a NEMA 4X rated stainless steel hanger with a brushed finish, so it suits wet, outdoor, and corrosive or washdown environments such as food processing, car washes, and coastal exterior runs. Painted or plated steel hangers on the same run would be the weak point, so match the support hardware to the enclosure rating.
3) What are the dimensions and weight of the 44-4XSBH wireway bracket?
The bracket measures 6 in height, 6.25 in length/depth, and 3.62 in width, and weighs .679 lb. Check the 6.25 in depth against your wall clearance, since that is what sets how far the wireway stands off the mounting surface.
4) Does the wireway hanger come with mounting fasteners or anchors?
The 44-4XSBH is supplied as the hanger bracket itself. Anchors, bolts, or strut fasteners for the building structure are selected for the substrate you are mounting to, so order those separately, and in a 4X environment keep them stainless to avoid galvanic and corrosion problems against the stainless bracket.
5) What is the exact part number to order for the stainless 4x4 wireway hanger?
Order Eaton B-Line part number 44-4XSBH. That is the 4x4, NEMA 4X, stainless steel, brushed finish hanger, and it is the number to quote for a distributor cross reference.
6) How many wireway hangers do I need for a run of trough?
Wireway hangers like the 44-4XSBH are ordered per support point, not per length of trough, so count your run against the support spacing your inspector or the wireway manufacturer requires and add one at each joint or change of direction. Each bracket is a single piece, so order the quantity you counted.
