B-LINE 66-12LTA – Frequently Asked Questions
1) Will the B-Line 66-12LTA tee fitting connect to 6x6 wireway trough?
Yes. The Eaton B-Line 66-12LTA is sized for 6 inch by 6 inch wireway, with a 6 inch height and 6 inch width at the openings and an overall length/depth of 11.5 inches. It joins three runs of 6x6 lay-in trough at a branch point. If your run is 4x4 or 8x8, this fitting is the wrong size.
2) Is this B-Line wireway tee rated for wet or dusty areas, or just indoor dry locations?
The 66-12LTA is a NEMA 12 tee fitting, which is the dust-tight and drip-tight rating used for industrial indoor environments with falling dirt, dust and non-corrosive dripping liquids. It is not a NEMA 3R or 4X fitting, so it does not belong outdoors or in washdown areas. The two included sealing plate kits are what maintain that NEMA 12 seal at the joints.
3) Do I need to buy gaskets or sealing plates separately for this wireway tee?
No, two sealing plate kits ship with the 66-12LTA tee. Those are what you need to close and seal the connection at the fitting so the NEMA 12 rating carries through the run. You still supply the wireway sections themselves and any connectors specified for your trough system.
4) Is the B-Line 66-12LTA a top opening or side opening tee?
Top opening. The cover lifts off the top face, so conductors lay into the tee from above rather than being pulled through. That matters for how you orient it on the wall: mount it so the removable top stays accessible for lay-in and future pulls.
5) Is this wireway tee UL Listed for an inspected commercial job?
Yes, the Eaton B-Line 66-12LTA carries a UL Listing, which is typically what an AHJ looks for on wireway and its fittings in a commercial or industrial install.
6) What part number do I order for a 6x6 NEMA 12 B-Line wireway tee?
Order Eaton B-Line 66-12LTA. That number covers the 6 inch by 6 inch, NEMA 12, top opening steel tee fitting with the two sealing plate kits included.
