1) Can this wireway tee be used outdoors or in a washdown area?
No. The 44 T tee is a NEMA 1 enclosure rating, which is general purpose indoor protection against incidental contact and falling dirt only. It has no gasketing for rain, hosedown, or dust-tight service. For wet or outdoor runs you need a NEMA 3R raintight wireway system instead.
2) What finish is the B-Line 44 T wireway tee, and will it match the rest of my trough?
Steel with an ANSI 61 gray painted finish, which is the standard gray used across B-Line lay-in wireway and most switchgear. It will match adjacent 4x4 B-Line trough and elbows painted the same. It is a painted indoor finish, not galvanized, so it is not intended for corrosive or exterior exposure.
3) Do I have to pull conductors through this tee, or can I lay them in?
It is a lay-in fitting. The cover comes off so conductors drop straight into the tee at the branch point, then the cover goes back on. That is the whole reason to use wireway instead of conduit on a multi-circuit run, and it saves pulling wire around a 90 at the branch.
