The 4430-4XSWT is a 4 x 4 x 30 inch trough: 4 inch height, 4 inch width, and 30 inch length. That 4 x 4 cross section is the standard small gutter size for splicing and pull-through between panels, and the 30 inch length lets it span between enclosures without a coupler. It weighs 14.096 lb, so a single installer can hang it on the welded external feet without help.

It is built as a NEMA 4X enclosure in 304 stainless steel with a seamless poured-in-place gasket, which is the rating for hose-directed water, windblown dust and corrosion. That covers outdoor mounting, food and beverage washdown, and damp process areas. It also carries CSA C22.2 certification.

No separate brackets. The 4430-4XSWT ships with welded external mounting feet, so it bolts straight to the wall or strut without the fasteners breaking the enclosure seal. Because the feet are external, the 4X integrity of the body stays intact. You supply the anchors for your wall type.

A 4 x 4 inch trough gives 16 square inches of cross section, and the NEC caps wireway fill at 20 percent of that, so roughly 3.2 square inches of conductor. That is plenty for control wiring and branch circuit splicing, but large parallel feeders will push you to a 6 x 6 or 8 x 8 body instead. Run your conductor areas before committing to the 4 x 4.

Hinged. The cover on this 4 x 4 x 30 trough is held by semi-hinges with screw clamps and stainless steel hardware, so it swings open for pulling and splicing and cannot be dropped off a ladder. The semi-hinge design still lets you lift the cover free when you need full access to the run.

No. This is a 4XSWT type screw cover wireway body with no knockouts, which is how 4X rated stainless troughs are supplied: you drill and fit your own liquidtight or hub fittings where the run needs them, so the seal is maintained at each penetration. The wall is 14 gauge stainless, so use a hole saw or punch rated for that thickness.

14 gauge 304 stainless with a #4 brushed finish. The 304 alloy handles most food, pharma and general plant chemistry, and the brushed finish is the standard look for sanitary areas because it cleans down easily. For chloride-heavy or coastal marine exposure, 316 stainless is the alloy to specify instead.
