The 6660 GRT NK trough is a NEMA 3R enclosure, so it is built for outdoor use where falling rain, sleet, and ice on the enclosure are the concern. It is a screw cover, not a hinged lid. The cover seats against a flange and is held by plated screws, so you back the screws out to open the full 60 inch length for laying in conductors, then reseat it.
