The BAB Series Quicklag breakers use Eaton's Non-Interchangeable Q7 frame, so they install in Eaton panelboards and load centers built to accept the BAB/Q7 frame footprint. If your panel bus and can are rated for another frame (a different Eaton family or another manufacturer's panel), a BAB will not seat correctly and should not be used. 2) What pole and amp combinations does the Eaton BAB Quicklag breaker come in?
Eight configurations are offered: 1-pole 15A (BAB1015) and 30A (BAB1030); 2-pole 30A (BAB2030), 70A (BAB2070) and 100A (BAB2100); and 3-pole 70A (BAB3070H), 80A (BAB3080H) and 100A (BAB3100H). 3) Can I use a BAB breaker on a 480V system?
No. The BAB Quicklag line is rated 120/240V, which suits single-phase 120/240V systems and 240V three-phase panels. A 480V or 480Y/277V distribution system needs a breaker rated for that voltage class; applying a 240V-rated breaker there is a code violation and a safety hazard.
4) Can the trip setting on a BAB Quicklag breaker be adjusted or changed in the field?
No. The trip unit is non-interchangeable and factory set on the Q7 frame, so the amperage cannot be adjusted or swapped in the field.
