1) Can I use a Crouse-Hinds AMR mud ring in a hazardous or classified location?
No. The AMR rings are rated for ordinary, non-hazardous locations only. Class I, II or III classified areas need boxes and covers listed for that classification, and a standard steel adjustable ring won't satisfy that. For a paint booth, fuel handling area, or grain handling space, go to the explosionproof or dust-ignitionproof enclosure line instead.
2) Do Crouse-Hinds AMR mud rings meet electrical code for commercial jobs?
The AMR Series is built to NEC and CEC standards, so the same part number works on jobs on either side of the border.
