Eaton E50KL544 Limit Switch Lever

It's a fork lever with both rollers mounted on the same side. That geometry is what you want when the cam or dog travelling past the switch approaches from one direction only, and the fork holds its last position until the opposing roller is struck, so the switch stays maintained between trips instead of springing back.

The environmental rating covers NEMA 1, 3, 3S, 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 13 and IP67, so it is suited to outdoor, hosedown, corrosive and temporary-submersion duty. The rating applies with the matching E50 enclosed switch assembled correctly; the lever itself is metal.

Rated for 10 to 200 degrees F. That rules out unheated outdoor service in hard freeze conditions below 10 F, but it covers refrigerated docks above that point and high-ambient areas near ovens, dryers and kilns up to 200 F.

A single roller lever returns to center after the cam passes, giving a momentary signal. The E50KL544 fork lever, with both rollers on one side, is the choice when you need the switch to stay in its tripped state after a passing dog actuates it and only reset when something strikes the other roller. Common on reversing conveyors, trolleys and gate travel where you want position memory rather than a pulse.
