Emtek 2253 Goose Style Door Stop

Residential. The 2253 goose style stop is classed as a residential product, so it belongs on houses, condos, and light-traffic interior openings where the finish matters as much as the function. Brass all the way through. Both the material and the substrate on the 2253 are brass, so the finish is applied over brass rather than over a zinc casting. That is what makes the living finishes behave properly, Unlacquered Brass (US3NL) in particular, since an unlacquered brass surface is meant to darken and patina with handling rather than hold a factory shine.

Model 2253 plus the finish code is what to quote. Medium Bronze is 2253MB and Tumbled White Bronze is 2253TWB. Several finishes carry an SPC prefix on the part number instead: Oil Rubbed Bronze is SPC225310B, Flat Black is SPC225319, Satin Brass is SPC22534, and French Antique is SPC22537.
