Pull the old knob, drop this one in, no new bore. It ships complete with the latch and strike plate, so the only hole work you might face is the strike pocket in the jamb if the old strike was a different size.

Measure from the edge of the door to the center of the bore hole. Two and three-eighths is the usual backset on interior residential doors; 2-3/4 shows up on heavier or exterior-width doors.
