Emtek Forza Glass Cabinet Knob, Schaub Collection

A mounting screw ships with each Forza Glass knob, so no separate hardware purchase is needed for a standard single-hole knob install. If your doors or drawer fronts are thicker than usual (applied moulding, double-panel fronts), plan on sourcing a longer screw, since only the standard screw is supplied.

It is a knob, which mounts on a single hole through the door or drawer front, so it drops onto any existing single-bore knob hole regardless of what brand came out. What it will not do is cover a two-hole pull layout. If your fronts are drilled for a pull on centers, you need a center-to-center product instead, such as the Schaub 10030 or 10040 Cafe knobs, both of which mount 7/8 inch center to center.

The Emtek Forza Glass cabinet knob is a brass knob in the Glass and Porcelain collection, so the visible face is glass. If a solid metal knob is preferred, the Schaub 131 Artifex is a round cabinet knob in Britannium at 1-1/2 inch diameter, and the Deltana KRB175 is a heavy-duty solid brass round knob with a groove at 1-3/4 inch diameter. Both are metal throughout with no glass element, and both are larger in diameter than the 1-1/4 inch Forza Glass knob.

The Forza Glass cabinet knob ships with a single mounting screw, so it lands on one hole. If the cabinet fronts are already drilled for two holes on centers, the Schaub 10030 Cafe modern oval slot knob and the Schaub 10040 Cafe modern oval knob are both 1 inch diameter with 7/8 inch center to center spacing.

Brass, both the material and the substrate, with a glass element as the design feature. That matters for a couple of reasons: brass takes plated and living finishes like unlacquered brass properly, and it holds up better in a kitchen or bath than a cast pot-metal knob. For comparison, the Schaub 1200 Modo 16 mm knob is zinc and aluminum construction.

It is classed as residential hardware. For homes, model units, and residential-feel spaces it is the right kind of product, but for high-traffic institutional casework, specify a knob rated for that duty instead. The Deltana KRB175 is described as heavy-duty solid brass if you need something built for harder use.

Several round knobs sit at a similar scale but read differently on the door. The Orca CK-18032 is a Mission round cabinet knob from the 18-Mission Collection and the Orca CK-19032 is the Whistler cabinet knob, both traditional metal profiles rather than the glass look of the Forza Glass knob. The Schaub 1200 Modo is a 16 mm knob of zinc and aluminum construction, so the substrate differs from the brass Forza Glass as well.

Polished Chrome (US26) in the 1-1/4 inch Forza Glass knob is part number SPC86565US26. Finish is the only thing that changes across the range, so quote the finish code with the order and the size takes care of itself.

The Forza Glass cabinet knob is offered in Oil Rubbed Bronze US10B, Polished Nickel US14, Satin Nickel US15, Pewter US15A, Flat Black US19, Polished Chrome US26, Polished Brass Lifetime US3, Unlacquered Brass US3NL, Satin Brass US4, and French Antique US7. Peer knobs are identified by their own finish schedules rather than these US codes - the Schaub 131 Artifex, for example, is specified in Britannium - so confirm the exact finish name on any peer knob before mixing brands on the same run of cabinetry.
