It drops into standard door prep: a 2-1/8 inch cross bore with either a 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inch backset, and doors from 1-3/8 up to 2-1/4 inches thick. The latch backset is adjustable between 2-3/8 and 2-3/4 inches, so most residential doors take it without redrilling. One exception on prep: the STRETTO rosette needs a 1-1/4 inch diameter bore and a 2-hole door preparation for the thumbturn privacy.
2) What changes if I choose the Concealed Fastener (CF) mechanism on this Emtek lever?
The CF option hides the mounting screws on the rose and brings a 28 degree latch with it. The tradeoff is door thickness: with CF the range narrows to 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches, versus 1-3/8 to 2-1/4 inches with the standard latch. If your door is thicker than 1-3/4 and you still want CF, that has to be specified on the order. If you would rather not deal with the restriction, the standard latch option is the other choice on the same lever.
3) Do I have to specify handing on the Emtek R-Bar White Marble lever?
Yes, it is ordered left hand or right hand. Stand outside the door: if the hinges are on your left it is left hand, hinges on the right is right hand. Order the wrong hand on a marble lever and you cannot flip it in the field the way you can with a non-handed commercial lever such as the Falcon B101, which is built non-handed.

With the standard latch, yes, the range runs to 2-1/4 inches. With the Concealed Fastener mechanism it will not, because CF covers 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inches unless a thicker door is specified at the time of order.
