3) Do I need a special tool to install ball-lock stainless steel cable ties?
Yes. The ball-lock head is pulled tight and the tail cut off with a stainless tie tensioning and cut-off tool; hand tension alone will not bring a 0.009 inch stainless band up to its rated hold, and the cut tail is sharp enough that a clean shear matters. Order the tool separately, it is not in the 100 count bag.
4) Can stainless cable ties be used where plastic zip ties are failing on hot equipment?
