Falcon BRKTASY.107 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly is the Falcon BRKTASY.107 part?
BRKTASY.107 is Falcon's actuator arm bracket assembly, a genuine OEM replacement component for Falcon exit devices. The bracket holds and positions the actuator arm so the device's mechanical linkage operates as it did from the factory. It is a service part, not a complete exit device, so you order it when the bracket or its arm mounting has failed on a device that is otherwise sound.
2) Will the Falcon actuator arm bracket assembly fit any brand of exit device?
No. The BRKTASY.107 bracket assembly is built for compatible Falcon exit devices only. It is an OEM Falcon service part, so if the device on your door is Von Duprin, Precision, Detex or another brand, this bracket is the wrong part. Identify the Falcon device series on the door before ordering a subassembly like this one.
3) Do I have to replace the whole exit device, or can I just swap the actuator arm bracket?
Replacing just the bracket is the point of this part. The BRKTASY.107 lets a locksmith or maintenance tech restore actuator arm function on a Falcon device without pulling and re-prepping the door for a new device. If the touchpad, rail and latch are still serviceable, the bracket swap is the targeted repair.
4) Is the BRKTASY.107 bracket suitable for residential doors or is it commercial only?
It is a commercial-grade part. Falcon lists the BRKTASY.107 as a commercial exit device component, built to commercial door hardware tolerances, and the openings it serves are the kind found in offices, schools, hospitals, retail, warehouses, government buildings and multi-tenant residential properties. A house door would not have a Falcon exit device on it in the first place.
5) We standardize on Falcon exit devices across our buildings. Is this a part worth stocking on the shelf?
If your openings run Falcon exit devices, yes. The actuator arm bracket is a wear-and-tear linkage component, and holding the OEM assembly means a failed device can be put back in service the same day instead of waiting on a full device replacement. Match it to the Falcon device series in use before you commit to stocking quantity.
