The Q330-203 is a square corner faceplate measuring 1-1/8 by 2-1/4 inches, so it drops into an edge prep already cut for that size and corner style. If the existing plate on the door has radius (round) corners, the mortise won't match and you'd be filling and recutting. Check the plate that's coming off before ordering: square corner to square corner, same 1-1/8 x 2-1/4 footprint, and it's a straight swap.
2) Does the Falcon Q330-203 work on a 2-3/4 inch backset door, or only 2-3/8?
Only 2-3/8 inch. The Q330-203 is built to the 2-3/8 backset configuration, which is the shorter of the two standard backsets, and the cylinder hole in the door is bored to whichever one the original latch used. If your doors are bored at 2-3/4, this part is the wrong one for that opening.
3) Can I put a Falcon Q330-203 faceplate on a deadlatch from another brand?
No. The Q330-203 is made for Falcon W Series deadlatch mechanisms, and the plate has to line up with that latch case's screw pattern and bolt opening. For a different brand you need that maker's own plate, or the complete latch.
