Thomas & Betts PT-YELLOW – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the Thomas & Betts PT-YELLOW and what is it used for?
PT-YELLOW is a yellow shell accessory for the Thomas & Betts Fire-On tool, part of the PowerTap tools and accessories line used with compression-type wire and cable connectors. It is the shell component, not a connector or a complete tool.
2) Does the PT-YELLOW include the Fire-On tool itself?
No. PT-YELLOW is the yellow shell accessory only. The Fire-On tool and any connectors have to be ordered separately.
3) Is the PT-YELLOW sold individually or in a box?
The PT-YELLOW shell is sold each, so one order unit gets you one shell. Order the quantity you need for the number of tools or crews you're outfitting.
4) What is the exact manufacturer part number for the yellow Fire-On tool shell?
Thomas & Betts lists it as PT-YELLOW. That is the number to quote when ordering or cross-referencing the color-coded shell against the rest of the Fire-On and PowerTap accessory range.
