No. The JAB34 is sized for 3/4 inch ground rods only. A 5/8 inch rod (the most common residential driven rod) needs a clamp rated for 5/8 inch; putting a 3/4 inch clamp on it will not tighten down to a solid mechanical and electrical connection. Check the rod diameter before ordering, since 5/8 and 3/4 are both in normal use.

The JAB34 is a ground rod clamp for copper conductor on 3/4 inch rod. Only clamps specifically marked for direct burial may be buried in earth or embedded in concrete. If your rod head and connection sit below grade, confirm the clamp body is marked for direct burial; otherwise make the connection in an accessible location.
4) Will the JAB34 work with an aluminum grounding conductor?
No. This clamp is specified for copper conductor. Running aluminum into a copper-only clamp creates a dissimilar metal connection at a point that has to stay low resistance for the life of the system. Use a clamp rated AL/CU if your electrode conductor is aluminum.
