Metallics D6625 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What sizes do the Metallics D6625 ice cleats cover?
One part number, D6625, covers the small through XXL range, so a crew does not need a separate SKU per boot size. They are the high profile version of the Metallics cleat, meant to pull over work boots for traction on ice and packed snow.
2) Is the Metallics D6625 a tool or jobsite PPE rather than an installed electrical part?
It is worn gear, not installed hardware. The D6625 is a pull-on ice cleat for boots, carried alongside electrical jobsite supplies for crews working outdoor service and overhead work in winter conditions.
3) What does high profile mean on an ice cleat like the Metallics D6625?
High profile refers to taller, more aggressive studs or teeth that bite into ice and hard-packed snow. The tradeoff is that taller cleats are meant for outdoor footing, not for walking across finished floors indoors, so crews typically pull them off at the door. The D6625 is the high profile style.
