1) Can I use a twin ferrule instead of two single ferrules in one terminal?
That is exactly what the F8000 is for. Landing two separate single ferrules in one screw terminal gives uneven clamping and is rejected on a lot of panel inspections. The twin ferrule crimps both 20 AWG conductors into one copper barrel that presents a single uniform pin to the terminal, so the clamp bears evenly. If the two conductors are different gauges, or either one is not 20 AWG, this is the wrong ferrule.
2) Is the Sta-Kon F8000 ferrule UL recognized?
It carries UL file E489056. If your panel build or control cabinet spec calls for UL-listed terminations, the file number is what the inspector or the submittal package wants to see.
3) What is the barrel on the F8000 ferrule made of?
Copper barrel with a polypropylene insulating sleeve. Copper gives you the conductivity match to copper stranded conductors, which is what keeps the termination from building resistance and heat under load in a control panel.
