Kawneer KW137701-14 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What exactly comes in the Kawneer KW137701-14 package?
It is a matched trim set: the Arch Classic CO-9 pull on one side and the CP-11 push on the other, supplied together as one coordinated package in Clear Aluminum. It is trim only, a genuine Kawneer service replacement for 42 inch exit devices, so the exit device itself, cylinder, or fasteners beyond what ships with the set are separate.
2) Will the KW137701-14 pull and push set fit a 36 inch Kawneer exit device?
No. This Arch Classic set is sized for 42 inch exit devices, and pull/push trim on Kawneer doors is cut to the device length. Measure the device on the door and order the trim package that matches that length rather than trying to adapt a 42 inch set.
3) I manage a retail storefront with Kawneer aluminum doors. Will Clear Aluminum trim match the rest of my entrance?
Clear Aluminum is the standard mill-type finish used across commercial aluminum storefront framing, so the KW137701-14 set blends with typical clear anodized Kawneer door and frame systems. If your openings were done in dark bronze or black anodized, this set will stand out and you want the matching finish version instead.
4) Is this a genuine Kawneer part or an aftermarket copy?
Genuine Kawneer. The KW137701-14 is sold as an authentic Kawneer service part, which matters on Arch Classic openings because the profile and mounting hole pattern have to line up with the original device prep already in the door.
5) My Kawneer door has a broken push bar trim but the exit device still works. Do I need a whole new device?
Not necessarily. The KW137701-14 is a replacement trim package, so if the exit device mechanism is functioning and only the pull or push side is damaged or worn, this set restores the original Arch Classic appearance and hand contact points without touching the device. It replaces both sides as a matched pair, which keeps the finish consistent across the door.
6) Is the KW137701-14 rated for high-traffic commercial use or is it a light-duty part?
It is a commercial-grade part, catalogued for commercial rather than residential use, and the typical applications are office building entrances, retail storefronts, schools, healthcare, and municipal buildings. That is entrance-door traffic, which is what the Arch Classic pull and push trim is built for.
