Safety Technology International STI-KIT-BB3SS – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What is the STI KIT-BB3SS back box used for?
The KIT-BB3SS from Safety Technology International is a surface mount back box for European single gang applications, used to mount the NoTouch Stainless Steel Button. It lets you mount the button on the wall surface instead of recessing it into the wall.
2) Will the KIT-BB3SS fit a US standard single gang box?
No. The KIT-BB3SS is built to European single gang dimensions, which are not the same as a US single gang device box. If your opening is prepped to a US box, this back box is the wrong part for it.
3) Does the KIT-BB3SS include the touchless button itself?
No, the KIT-BB3SS is the back box only. It is designed to be used with the NoTouch Stainless Steel Button, which is ordered separately.
4) How many buttons does the KIT-BB3SS back box hold?
One. It is a single gang box, so it accommodates a single NoTouch Stainless Steel Button. For two devices side by side you would need separate boxes.
5) Is the KIT-BB3SS sold in more than one size or version?
It comes one way, as model KIT-BB3SS, the European single gang surface mount version. There are no size or finish options to specify when ordering.
