1) Does the Kwikset 802CE Chelsea handleset come with the interior side, or do I need to order more?
The 802CE Chelsea is the exterior pack only, so an interior pack is required to complete the opening. What you get is the outside handleset trim (grip handle and deadbolt) and nothing for the inside face of the door. Order the matching Chelsea interior pack alongside it, or you will have a door with no inside knob, lever or thumbturn.
2) Will the Chelsea 802CE handleset fit my existing door prep?
It fits standard residential prep on a 1-3/4 inch door, with an adjustable latch backset of 2-3/8 or 2-3/4 inches, so it drops onto either of the two common bore layouts without a new hole. The latch has a round corner faceplate and it ships with a 2-1/4 inch full lip round corner strike, so if your existing strike is a square corner style you will want to swap it to match.
3) Can the Kwikset 802CE Chelsea handleset go on a fire rated door?
No. Kwikset's optional 1/3 hour UL fire rating covers the other functions in this family but specifically excludes the 802, along with 819 and 502. For a fire rated opening, pick a different function in the line.
