The 86129 is a screw pack for the Kwikset 660 single cylinder deadbolt, holding the longer fasteners a deadbolt needs when the door is thicker than the standard hardware supports. Standard deadbolt screws are cut for a 1-3/8 to 1-3/4 inch door; on a thicker slab the mounting screws will not reach, and this pack is what makes the same 660 deadbolt work on that opening. It is hardware only, not a lock.
2) Will the Kwikset 86129 pack work with a Kwikset 980 or other Kwikset deadbolt?
The 86129 pack is specified for the Kwikset 660 deadbolt only. Thick door packs are matched to a particular deadbolt family because the screw lengths and tailpiece engagement differ between models, so for a 980 or any other Kwikset deadbolt you want the thick door pack listed for that series rather than this one.
3) Is a lock or cylinder included with the Kwikset 86129?
No lock and no cylinder. The 86129 is the fastener pack alone, sold to adapt a 660 deadbolt to a thick door. The deadbolt has to be bought separately or already be on the door.
