1) Will the Thomas & Betts EZ-WP34 label cassette work in my label printer?
Only in the EZL-100. The EZ-WP34 cassette is built for that printer and will not load in other label printers, so if your shop runs a different handheld unit you need that unit's own cassettes.
2) Can I wrap the EZ-WP34 label around a round wire or conduit?
No. The EZ-WP34 stock is rated for flat applications only, so it belongs on panel faces, device plates, enclosure doors and other flat surfaces. For marking round wire and cable in the same printer, use the heat-shrink sleeve stock instead, which the EZL-100 prints on the spot.
3) How much labeling do I get out of one EZ-WP34 cassette?
Each cassette carries 18 feet of label stock. Divide that by your typical marker length to work out cassettes per panel or per pull, and remember you are buying them five at a time.
4) Will these labels hold up in a mechanical room where they get hit with solvents?
The print is chemical and solvent resistant and does not smudge, so a wiped-down panel label stays readable. The split-back design peels easily for one-handed application on a ladder.
5) Are the Thomas & Betts EZ-WP34 labels RoHS compliant for a government or institutional spec?
Yes, the EZ-WP34 is listed as RoHS compliant, which is usually the box that has to be checked on institutional and government electrical submittals.
6) What color are the EZ-WP34 labels?
White stock. If your facility standard calls for yellow or a metallic marker, those are separate cassettes in the same EZL-100 family, not a variation of the EZ-WP34.
