The LCN 3133 is a Grade 1 overhead concealed door closer that mounts inside a 1-3/4" interior door, keeping all hardware out of sight. 1) Will the LCN 3133 concealed closer fit my door, and what size door will it handle?
The 3133 mounts inside the door itself, so the door has to be 1-3/4 inches thick and it is rated for interior doors up to 4'0" wide. It is a size 3 closer, non-adjustable spring size, so a wider or heavier opening than 4'0" is outside what it is built for. Exterior openings are out too, it is specified as an interior door closer.
2) Is the LCN 3133 ADA compliant for reduced opening force?
No. The 3133 is not ADA compliant. It is a fixed size 3 closer, and a barrier-free opening usually needs a closer that can be adjusted down to a lower opening force. If the opening falls under an accessibility requirement, this is the wrong closer for it.
3) Do I have to specify handing when I order an LCN 3133?
Yes, handing is a required selection, left hand or right hand.
