LCN 4020T-3038B 689 – Frequently Asked Questions

1) Does the LCN 4020T track need to be ordered left hand or right hand?
No handing to specify. The 4020T-3038B track is non-handed, so the same part goes on a left hand or right hand door. You pick the finish and nothing else.
2) Which LCN door closers does the 4020T-3038B track work with?
It is built for LCN 4020T Series closers. The track is the arm channel that 4020T Series closer hardware rides in, so match the closer series before ordering; it is not a substitute track for a standard arm closer.
3) Can I add hold open to this LCN track later?
Yes. The 4020T track accepts optional Hold Open clips, so a door that currently just closes can be converted to temporary hold open without changing the track. The clip is a separate item and is not part of this assembly.
4) Is this LCN track sold as a repair part for an existing closer installation?
Yes, it is catalogued as a replacement component, so a damaged or bent 4020T track can be swapped out without replacing the closer body. Useful for property managers keeping a bent-track opening in service.
5) Is the LCN 4020T track assembly suitable for an ADA accessible opening in a school or hospital?
It is listed as ADA compliant and rated for commercial use, and the track style closer arm is the usual choice on accessible openings because it keeps the arm tight to the door. Common applications include schools, healthcare, retail and government buildings.
6) What finishes does the LCN 4020T track with bumper come in?
Six: 689 aluminum, 690 statuary bronze, 691 light bronze, 693 gloss black, 695 dark bronze and 696 brass. For a building standardizing on one look, 689 and 695 are the usual commercial pairings with existing LCN closer covers.
