Leviton 42080-8WP White 8-Port QuickPort Weatherproof Wallplate

The Leviton 42080-8WP is a white, 8-port QuickPort weatherproof wallplate designed to accept up to eight Leviton QuickPort modular inserts in a single mounting location, giving installers a flexible way to consolidate voice, data, and low-voltage connections behind one weatherproof-rated cover. Built for applications where multiple communication or control ports need to be grouped together, this quad-style (QP) wallplate provides a clean, organized termination point while maintaining a weatherproof profile suited to exposed or protected outdoor-adjacent installations. The white finish offers a neutral, low-profile appearance that blends with standard wall finishes in commercial and residential settings alike.

Key Features

  • 8-Port QuickPort Design: Accepts up to eight Leviton QuickPort modular inserts, allowing multiple voice, data, or low-voltage connections to be grouped on a single wallplate.
  • Weatherproof Construction: Engineered as a weatherproof (WP) wallplate for added protection against the elements in exposed or semi-exposed mounting locations.
  • QP Quad-Style Configuration: The quad-plate (QP) format is built to organize a high density of ports without requiring multiple separate wallplates.
  • White Finish: A clean white finish coordinates with standard wall and device colors for a consistent, professional appearance.
  • Modular Compatibility: Works with the broad Leviton QuickPort family of inserts, supporting mix-and-match configurations for voice, data, and other low-voltage applications.
  • Single-Gang Mounting Footprint: Designed to mount to a standard electrical box footprint while accommodating the increased port count of the QP layout.

Leviton 42080-8WP – Frequently Asked Questions

1) How many QuickPort inserts does the Leviton 42080-8WP wallplate hold?
Eight. The 42080-8WP is an 8-port QP configuration, so it accepts up to eight Leviton QuickPort modular inserts in one mounting location. The inserts themselves are sold separately, so order the jacks (voice, data, or other low-voltage modules) you need to fill the openings.
2) Is the Leviton 42080-8WP suitable for an outdoor or exposed wall location?
It is built as a weatherproof (WP) wallplate for exposed or semi-exposed mounting, which is the reason to pick it over a standard indoor QuickPort plate. Leviton describes it for weatherproof or protected wall-mount locations, so it suits outdoor-adjacent terminations rather than fully submerged or direct-spray service.
3) Will this QuickPort plate mount to a standard single-gang box?
The 42080-8WP uses a single-gang mounting footprint, so it lands on a standard electrical box while still carrying the higher port count of the QP layout. Allow for the cable bend radius behind eight jacks in a single-gang opening; a deeper box or a mud ring makes the terminations easier to dress.
4) Can I mix voice and data jacks in the same Leviton 8-port QuickPort plate?
Yes. The 42080-8WP works across the Leviton QuickPort insert family, so you can mix and match voice, data, and other low-voltage modules in the eight openings. That is what makes it useful as a single consolidated termination point instead of several separate plates.
5) What is the exact Leviton part number to order for the 8-port weatherproof QuickPort wallplate in white?
Order Leviton 42080-8WP. That is the full manufacturer part number for the white 8-port QP QuickPort weatherproof wallplate, and it is a single-model item, not a plate offered in multiple sizes or colors under the same number.
6) Should I use one 8-port QuickPort plate or several smaller plates for a structured wiring drop?
If the drops all land in one place, the 8-port QP plate keeps them on a single opening and a single cover, which is cleaner and faster to label than two or three separate plates. Use smaller QuickPort plates when the ports need to be split across different locations on the wall, or when you only have shallow single-gang boxes and eight cables would crowd the rear of the box.
7) What color is the Leviton 42080-8WP, and does it match standard device colors?
White. The finish is the standard white used across Leviton wiring devices, so it coordinates with white receptacles, switches, and other QuickPort plates on the same wall run.
