Leviton RER15-NS Recessed Entertainment Receptacle, In-Wall Cable Management Box

The Leviton RER15-NS Recessed Entertainment Receptacle is a wall-mounted electrical solution designed to route power and low-voltage cabling neatly behind flat-panel televisions and other wall-mounted electronics. Installed directly into a standard wall cavity, this Leviton recessed box helps eliminate unsightly cords and cables that would otherwise run down the wall from a mounted display, giving installers and homeowners a clean, professional-looking finished wall. As a purpose-built entertainment receptacle solution from Leviton, the RER15-NS is intended for use in residential and light commercial settings wherever a wall-mounted TV or entertainment component needs a concealed power and cable pathway.

Key Features

  • Recessed Design: Mounts flush within the wall cavity to create a clean, low-profile appearance behind wall-mounted televisions and entertainment equipment.
  • Cable Management: Provides a dedicated pathway for power cords and low-voltage cables (such as HDMI or speaker wire), keeping them hidden from view for a tidy installation.
  • Leviton Build Quality: Engineered by Leviton, a recognized manufacturer of electrical wiring devices, for reliable, code-conscious installation practices.
  • Simplified Installation: Designed to install into a standard wall opening, streamlining the process of relocating or concealing an outlet behind mounted electronics.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for new construction or retrofit projects where a clean entertainment center or TV wall-mount installation is desired.

Leviton RER15-NS – Frequently Asked Questions

1) What does the Leviton RER15-NS recessed entertainment receptacle actually do behind a wall-mounted TV?
The RER15-NS is an in-wall box that puts power and low-voltage cabling behind a flat-panel TV instead of running cords down the face of the wall. It installs into the wall cavity and gives both the power cord and low-voltage runs such as HDMI or speaker wire a concealed pathway, so the finished wall shows no visible cables.
2) Can the Leviton RER15-NS be added to a finished wall, or is it new construction only?
Both. The RER15-NS installs into a standard wall opening and is called out for new construction as well as retrofit work, so it suits a remodel where you are relocating or concealing an existing outlet behind mounted electronics.
3) Is the Leviton RER15-NS suitable for commercial jobs or only homes?
It is intended for residential and light commercial use, which covers conference rooms, hospitality guest rooms, and similar wall-mounted display installs as well as houses and apartments. Heavier commercial AV infrastructure is outside what this box is described for.
4) What is the exact Leviton part number to order for this recessed TV outlet box?
Order Leviton RER15-NS. That is the single model offered for this recessed entertainment receptacle, so there are no finish or size choices to specify.
5) Will the Leviton RER15-NS keep power and HDMI cable in the same box?
Yes, the RER15-NS is built to carry both. It provides the receptacle for the TV's power cord and a dedicated route for low-voltage cables like HDMI and speaker wire in the same recessed assembly, which is what keeps a single wall penetration behind the display.
