Trade size is the ordering dimension on LFMC, not the actual measured ID, so match the fitting by trade size and not by tape measure.

There's a galvanized steel core inside the black jacket. That's the difference between LFMC and nonmetallic liquidtight (LFNC): the steel spiral gives you physical protection and the mechanical strength to survive being stepped on, driven over in a mechanical room, or pulled around equipment. If the job only needs a weather seal over a low-stress run, nonmetallic is the lighter, cheaper choice; if the raceway is exposed to abuse, the steel core is why you'd pick this one.

Whipping to outdoor equipment is the standard use for this kind of raceway, and the LTZES02B-K is the 1/2 inch black version of it: a galvanized steel core under a sealed jacket, terminated with liquidtight fittings so water can't track into the enclosure. It is the usual choice for rooftop condensers, pumps, and motor connections where the run has to flex and stay sealed. Two things decide it on your job: the conductors have to be rated for wet locations, and the equipment ground has to be handled per your local requirements, which on 1/2 inch usually means pulling a separate ground conductor rather than relying on the flex.

One coil holds 500 feet (150 meters) of 1/2 inch liquidtight. It's a full factory coil, not a cut length, so plan the run against 500 feet rather than ordering a fixed footage.
