The LTTUS04B-C is 1 inch trade size liquid tight flexible metallic conduit, supplied as a 100 foot (30 m) coil. One part number gets you the full coil, so figure your runs against 100 feet before ordering multiples.

That is the normal use for this type. LFMC like the 1 inch LTTUS04B-C is what gets run to rooftop condensers, pumps, and motors where the connection has to flex and shed water. The black jacket over the galvanized steel core keeps liquids out of the raceway. You will still need liquid tight connectors at each end, sized 1 inch, since none are included with the coil.

It is metallic. The LTTUS04B-C uses a galvanized steel core with a black jacket over it, which is what makes it liquid tight flexible metallic conduit rather than the nonmetallic type. The steel core is what gives it crush resistance on exposed runs and lets it serve as a metal raceway, unlike LFNC.

Go metallic when the run is exposed to physical damage, needs the steel core for mechanical protection, or where the spec calls for a metal raceway. The LTTUS04B-C gives you a galvanized steel core under the black liquid tight jacket. Nonmetallic LFNC is lighter and easier to bend in tight quarters and is the choice where corrosion or non-metallic construction is the concern, but it does not give you the steel armor.

One inch trade size gives you meaningfully more fill room than the 3/4 inch that a lot of motor whips use, which is why it gets specified for larger feeders or where several current-carrying conductors plus a ground share the run. Size your fill to the conductor count and insulation type you are pulling; the LTTUS04B-C is the 1 inch size of the Thomas & Betts liquid tight metallic line.
