It's 1/2 inch trade size liquid tight flexible metallic conduit, supplied in a 100 foot (30 m) coil. One coil covers a 100 foot run, so size your order by total footage of run plus slack at each termination.

Galvanised steel core with a black jacket. The steel interlocked core is what gives it the pull strength and physical protection you don't get from nonmetallic liquidtight, and the jacket is what keeps liquid out of the raceway.

That's the normal use for it. Liquidtight flexible metal conduit is the standard whip material for motor, compressor and rooftop equipment connections because the jacket keeps water out and the flex absorbs vibration and allows for equipment movement. The LTXES02B-C is the 1/2 inch black version, the common size for control wiring and small single-phase equipment feeds.

The LTXES02B-C has a galvanised steel interlocked core under the jacket. Nonmetallic liquidtight is all plastic. The steel version gives crush and impact protection and a metal raceway; the nonmetallic is lighter and cheaper but offers less physical protection. Either way you pull a separate equipment grounding conductor for equipment connections, so pick based on the abuse the run will take.

Black. If the existing whips on your equipment are gray liquidtight, this won't visually match, though the 1/2 inch trade size and fitting interface are the same either way.
