Yes. The FMLWL carries a damp location rating, which covers laundry rooms, stairwells and similar spaces subject to moisture. It is not a wet location fixture, so don't use it where it will take direct water or be exposed outdoors unprotected.

It is a surface-mount, flush-mount fixture. It screws up tight to a flat ceiling or wall over a junction box, so no grid, no plaster frame, no recessed cavity needed. That makes it the practical choice in apartment units and back-of-house rooms where there's no plenum depth to work with.

120 volt. The FMLWL is rated 120V, which is standard for residential and light commercial circuits. If your building runs 277V lighting branch circuits, as many commercial and institutional facilities do, this is the wrong fixture and you need a 120/277 multi-volt or 277V-specific wrap instead.

No. This version ships without emergency battery backup. If the stairwell, corridor or egress path you're lighting requires illumination when normal power drops, this fixture will not satisfy that on its own, and you need a wraparound ordered with an integral emergency battery pack.

Light output is equivalent to a traditional 2-lamp T8 wraparound, so a 4-foot FMLWL 48 840 is the straight functional swap for a 4-foot two-tube wrap on a 120V circuit. It mounts to the same surface box. Confirm the old fixture's circuit is 120V and not 277V, and note the FMLWL footprint is 5.48 inches wide, narrower than many older wraps, so paint shadow or ceiling patching may show around the old outline.

The LED source is built in and included. It is a static (non-tunable, non-dimming-specified) LED array behind a white polycarbonate diffuser, so there is nothing to lamp and nothing to relamp. When the array reaches end of life you replace the fixture, not a tube, which is the tradeoff against a T8 wrap you can re-lamp.

It is listed on the Design Lights Consortium (DLC) qualified products list, which is what most utility prescriptive rebate programs require for LED troffers and wraps. It is also ENERGY STAR and cUL. Rebate amounts and program rules vary by utility, but DLC listing is the qualifier procurement teams are usually asked to document.

The housing is 5.48 inches wide and projects 2.58 inches from the mounting surface. That shallow profile matters in low-ceiling basements, closets and corridors where a deeper strip or wrap would be a head-strike risk. The 4-foot and 2-foot versions share the same width and depth; only the length changes.

Both lengths are 4000K cool white only, with no other CCT offered. 4000K is the common neutral white used across commercial corridors and MRO spaces. If your existing fixtures are 3000K warm white or 5000K daylight, the FMLWL will read noticeably different alongside them, so standardize a whole room or run rather than swapping single units.

The LEDs hold 70 percent of initial lumen output to 50,000 hours, which works out to roughly 22 years at 6 hours a day. For a facility running lights far longer per day, say a 24-hour corridor, divide accordingly when you plan replacement cycles.

Steel housing in a gloss white finish, with a white polycarbonate diffuser over the LEDs. The steel body takes knocks in utility rooms and back-of-house better than an all-plastic wrap, and the polycarbonate lens won't shatter the way acrylic can.
