Metallics MT208LB – Frequently Asked Questions
1) How long is the Metallics MT208LB nut setter, and will it reach into a recessed box or channel?
Overall length is 2-9/16 inches. That extra reach over a stubby setter lets you get down into a strut channel, a recessed box, or past a flange that a short bit cannot clear, while still staying short enough to keep control in a drill or impact driver.
2) Does the MT208LB hold the screw by itself so I can start a fastener one-handed?
Yes. It is a magnetic nut setter, so the magnet in the socket holds a 1/4 inch hex head screw in place while you position it. That is the point of buying this over a plain non-magnetic socket when you are working overhead on a ladder or reaching into a panel with one hand on the driver.
3) How many Metallics MT208LB nut setters come in a package?
One. The MT208LB is sold as a single nut setter supplied in a pouch, not a multi-piece set, so order one per driver or per truck if you want spares on hand.
