Metallics BTT8 – Frequently Asked Questions
1) What size hole does the Metallics BTT8 masonry bit drill, and how deep can it go?
The BTT8 cuts a 1 inch diameter hole and the bit measures 12 inches overall, so it is built for deep work in concrete, block, and brick where a standard-length bit bottoms out. If you need a 1 inch through-hole in a thick wall or slab, that extra length is the reason to choose this one over a short bit.
2) Is the Metallics BTT8 sold as a single bit or in a multi-pack?
One bit per order. The BTT8 ships as a single piece in a pouch, so if you are running a crew or expect to wear bits out on a long run of holes, order the count you need up front.
3) What is the Metallics part number for the extra-long 1 inch masonry bit?
Order it as Metallics BTT8. That single model covers the 1 inch diameter, 12 inch extra-long configuration with the 1/2 inch shank, there are no finish or length options to specify alongside it.
