1) Will the BTT9 masonry bit fit a standard 3-jaw drill chuck, or does it need an SDS rotary hammer?
It has a 1/4 inch round shank, so it chucks into any 3-jaw keyed or keyless chuck on a corded or cordless hammer drill. It is not an SDS-Plus or SDS-Max bit, so it will not lock into a dedicated rotary hammer that only accepts SDS shanks.

One bit per pack, supplied in a pouch. If you are drilling a lot of holes in cured concrete and expect to dull or snap a long bit mid-job, order spares up front rather than counting on one.
3) Can I use the BTT9 to drill wood or steel as well as concrete?
It is built as a masonry bit, for concrete, block, brick, and stone. Use a twist bit for steel and an auger or wood bit for timber. Running a masonry bit in steel will just burn the carbide tip.
