It runs on 12 volts only, so it has to be fed from a low-voltage landscape transformer or other 12V supply. Wiring it to a 120V line circuit destroys the lamp immediately. This is the normal setup for a low-voltage accent light: one transformer on the 120V side feeding a 12V run with the fixtures tapped off it.

A 12V MR16 at 50 watts, quartz halogen. That is the lamp the fixture is built around, so the MR16's beam spread is what sets your spot-versus-flood look. You can drop to a lower wattage MR16 on the same 12V supply if you want less output or need to fit more fixtures on one transformer run; going above 50W is not within the fixture's rating.

The stake ships with it. BL5016-HS7 is the stake version, so for a planting bed or lawn installation you push the stake in, aim the head, and make up the 12V connection. No separate mounting accessory is needed for that. If you need it on a wall, a deck board, or a concrete surface instead, the stake is the wrong mount and you want a different mounting variant of the fixture.

It is an accent light, a small bullet head on a stake that you aim at what you want lit: a tree trunk, a wall wash, a sign, a piece of architecture. It is not a path light and it does not spread light down onto a walkway. If your job is lighting a walk or drive edge, use path or bollard fixtures and save the Bullyte for the features you want picked out.

The housing is aluminum in a bronze finish, which is the standard dark bronze family most landscape lighting is specified in, so it reads consistently alongside existing bronze heads and transformers on a property. Aluminum rather than brass or copper matters if your site is coastal or heavily irrigated with hard water, where a specifier often standardizes on brass instead.

One fixture per pack and one pack per outer box, so ordering a quantity of eight gets you eight lights. There is no case-pack multiple to work around when you are buying odd counts for a bed layout.
